What's up with Froggie
In the past week, I've recieved several signs that it's time to refocus some energy on promoting Frog Kisser.
The first sign was at a wedding last Saturday. The groom has (not entirely jokingly) told the bride she had to read a book, cover to cover, before he'd marry her. She chose Confessions of a Frog Kisser (possibly because she's a friend of mine, or possibly to send her finace a subtle message that she thought he was acting a little froggish). At the reception, the groom gave me a big hug and told me my book was the reason he'd been able to get married. He made this declaration through the hugest grin I have ever seen on someone's face. Perhaps reading the book made the bride realize what a wonderful, sweet man she had.
Then, throughout this last week, I've gotten random feedback about the book...this after several months of hearing nothing. My dad's dentist read it and thinks it should be a movie; a MySpace friend said he'd seen it listed as several people's last read (!); and another long-lost friend surfaced to tell me how it'd helped her get through her re-entry into the dating world.
This is all so cool. Now I just have to figure out how to magnify it! I've discovered how to do the mass marketing on MySpace that I see all the time. Now I have to do it. That's my commitment. By the time I post next week, I will have a strategy in place, ready to launch in October. Any other ideas are welcome :)
